Slaying Ghosts (2018)

An evening length piece which delves into the process of breaking cycles and disrupting the stigma of reaching out for help during emotional or psychological crisis. 

For Love of Country... (2017)

An exploration of healing. "For love of country they accepted death, and thus resolved all doubts, and made immortal their patriotism and their virtue."-- Garfield 1868. This contemporary dance performance grapples with the afro-future and our nation's aim to move forward. What does reconciliation look like?

 

 Fit The Description (2016)

A love letter to all who have been accused of being a suspect because of the color of their skin, their hairstyle, their spunk, their clothing style, the shape of their nose, the color of their teeth, how they laugh, who they worship, or where they eat lunch.

Touch My Hair? (2015)

Inspired by Antonia Opiah's live art exhibit in Union Sq Park this piece explores the past and present day dialogue on the intimate act of hair touching, meditations  on "Black" hair and its affect on the psyche. 

Stand Your Ground (2015)

A dance exploration of fear, hate, and hope in the 21stcentury, it examines how fear of the Black body has evolved and manifests itself as of late. Driven by a DJ mixed soundscape  investigates what inner turmoil lies within a nation that elects a Black President and concurrently slaughters unarmed innocent men women and children such as Jonathan Ferrel, Renisha McBride, Jordan Davis and Michael Brown.
